Rail Transit Exhibition News On April 23, Martinus Group, an Australian infrastructure company, announced its official entry into the field of rail transportation and launched a new commodity rail transportation business - Martinus Haulage. At the same time, the company reached a locomotive partnership with CRRC Ziyang Locomotive Co., Ltd. The business will be the first to start operations in Queensland, Australia

According to reports, Martinus Haulage will provide customers with rail freight solutions on the basis of long-term contracts, and will be equipped with its own locomotives and freight vehicles. The company said that the first phase of the business will land in Queensland and will gradually expand to other parts of Australia, as well as the North American and Chilean markets in the future, to serve its global development strategy.
The Martinus Group noted that this launch marks an important milestone in the company's history. The company is transitioning from a traditional rail construction contractor to an integrated service provider that integrates infrastructure construction and operations, and is taking a key step into the "Above Rail" sector.
Treaven Martinus, CEO of Martinus Group, said: "We are not only building railways, but we will also be involved in railway operations. Supported by a new generation of locomotive equipment and a long-term development strategy, this is a natural extension of the company's trend." He further pointed out that the company is committed to building a full industry chain capability covering "development, design, construction, investment, operation and maintenance" to form a complete solution covering the upstream and downstream of rail transit.
In terms of locomotive equipment, Martinus said that after system evaluation, CRRC Ziyang was selected as a locomotive partner. The cooperation between the two parties will provide Martinus Haulage with a new generation of locomotive fleet, support its entry into the Queensland narrow-gauge bulk freight market, and provide guarantee for subsequent business expansion.
"This collaboration aims to build a long-term, stable business system that synergizes with the company's existing business," said Treaven Martinus. "We are entering a market that is in dire need of innovative models, with a focus on transportation reliability, operational efficiency, and building long-term relationships with our customers. ”
In addition, Martinus also said that the company has set up a dedicated transportation and delivery team to promote the implementation of the business. As customer docking and operational preparations progress, more relevant developments will be released in the future.
