China Communications Construction plans to establish China Communications Railway Group

The announcement shows that the board of directors has reviewed and approved the "Proposal on the Establishment of CCCC Railway Group" and agreed to establish CCCC Railway Group Co., Ltd. (name subject to approval by the market supervision and administration authorities).

CCCC Railway Group is tentatively registered in Beijing, with a tentatively registered capital of 2 billion yuan. The initial payment is 1 billion yuan, with the remaining portion to be paid within 5 years; The equity structure is 80% held by China Communications Construction and 20% by its subsidiary.

According to China Communications Construction's 2026 interim report, the full transportation business is one of its core businesses and foundation, with the railway construction market share firmly holding third place in the domestic industry and first in off-road construction. During the reporting period, the total transportation business achieved new contract signing of 428.617 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 18.39%. The market share of road, bridge, and water transport businesses remained the top in the industry, while the railway business showed sustained growth.

China Communications Construction's main operating data for the first half of the year shows that new railway business contracts totaled 70.776 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 100.07%; New contract value for urban rail transit business was 24.667 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 251.52%.

During the reporting period, China Communications Construction newly signed overseas rail transit projects, including the "Melbourne Suburban Circular Rail East Section (G Contract Package) Construction Project," with a winning bid amount of 18.721 billion yuan; and the "Sydney Underground West Line Track and Electromechanical Project," with a winning bid amount of 13.977 billion yuan.

Regarding overseas rail transit projects, the tunnel of the Malaysia East Coast Railway project has been fully completed, and the second phase of the Kenya Inner Malaysia Railway project is progressing in an orderly manner.
