Recently, the first batch of APM vehicles of the Hong Kong International Airport three-runway project produced by CRRC Puzhen Alstom Transportation Systems Co., Ltd. were successfully delivered to the Hong Kong APM depot site.
The 2.6km long Automated People Mover (TRC) project of the Third Runway System Project at the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) connects the APM Interchange Station (near Terminal 2) and the East Station T2C-East.
The APM manufactured by CRRC Puzhen Alstom Transportation Systems Co., Ltd. adopts automatic train control technology for fully automatic unmanned operation, providing high-frequency operation services, low vibration, low noise, better ride comfort, maximum slope of 60‰, minimum curve radius of 22m, diverse configurations, transportation capacity of up to 43,500 people per hour in one direction, flexible lines, suitable for underground, ground or full elevated operation.
It is reported that the remaining trains of the Hong Kong APM project will be delivered within this year.
