Tianjin Rail Transit Group signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Astana City Government of Kaz

During the second "China-Central Asia" summit, on June 16, local time, the second "China-Central Asia" Industrial and Investment Cooperation Forum was held in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. During the main forum, witnessed by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sklyar Roman Vasilyevich, Deputy Mayor of Astana Otebayev Yersin Kenzhebayevich, Wu Bingjun, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Tianjin Rail Transit Group, and Zhou Haiwei, General Manager of China Railway Asia-Europe Construction Investment Co., Ltd., signed a memorandum.

According to the MOU, Tianjin Rail Transit Group will be deeply involved in the operation of the core business of the first phase of the light rail project of the new transportation system in Astana (the section from the airport to the new railway station).

During the forum, Kazakhstan and China signed about 60 cooperation agreements with a total amount of almost $25 billion. In order to save time, the Forum adopted a phased approach to signing and exchanging documents. Two of these important rounds of agreements were signed in the presence of the First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Sklyar Roman Vasilyevich.

The forum attracted the participation of central and local government officials of Kazakhstan, delegations from many Central Asian countries, senior executives of large enterprises in China and the region, and heads of development agencies. The agenda of the forum includes plenary sessions and a number of panel discussions, focusing on digitalization and information technology, transportation and logistics, mineral resources and other fields.

The relevant staff of the Astana Municipal Government said that the construction of the first phase of the Astana light rail project is advancing rapidly, and Tianjin Rail Transit Group has brought China's most advanced rail transit construction and operation concept and technical team to Kazakhstan, providing us with a professional solution to adapt to the local climate conditions of fully automatic operation lines, and we will continue to strengthen business cooperation to further enhance the comprehensive operation capacity of Astana urban transportation.

Wu Bingjun said that Tianjin Rail Transit Group resolutely implements the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's speech at the fourth "Belt and Road" construction work symposium, takes interconnection as the main line, coordinates and deepens the "hard connection" of infrastructure, "soft connection" of rules and standards and "heart connection" with the people of the country, and is invited to participate in the dispatching and command of the light rail project and the organization of driving, passenger transport organization, equipment and facilities maintenance on the basis of good cooperation with Kazakhstan in project acceptance and safety assessment, operation preparation, personnel training, etc. Vehicle maintenance and other core business operations further reflect the recognition and trust of Kazakhstan to the Chinese team, and Tianjin Rail Transit Group will go all out to write a new story of the "Belt and Road".

At present, in addition to the project in Kazakhstan, Tianjin Rail Transit Group has carried out in-depth cooperation with projects in Sao Paulo, Brazil and other regions. After the verification of a number of overseas projects, the "Tianjin Plan" can stand the test of the market.
