The Chihuang high-speed railway started trial operation

At 8:37 a.m. on March 26, the D55301 high-speed railway departed from Huangshan North Station and headed west to Chizhou Station, marking the first trial run of the Chizhou high-speed railway. The trial operation, also known as the no-load trial operation, is a comprehensive "actual combat" test before the opening of the high-speed railway, which in principle is not less than one month. After the trial operation, it is expected that the high-speed rail will be ready for operation by the end of April. After the opening of the Chihuang high-speed railway, it will only take half an hour from Chizhou to Huangshan in Anhui Province, Jiuhuashan will only take 2 hours and more than 3 hours from Hangzhou and Shanghai respectively, and it will only take more than 3 hours from Wuhan to Huangshan.

The construction of the Chi-Huang high-speed railway started in December 2019, starting from Chizhou Station in the west, passing through Guichi District, Qingyang County, Chizhou City, Huangshan District, Huangshan City, and ending at Yixian East Railway Station, with a total length of about 125 kilometers and a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. There are 4 stations on the whole line: Chizhou, Jiuhuashan, Huangshanxi and Yixian East, of which Jiuhuashan and Huangshan West are the newly built stations of the line, Chizhou Station is the existing reconstructed station, and Yixian East Station is the existing station.

The Chihuang high-speed railway is not only an important part of the Wuhan-Hangzhou high-speed railway corridor, but also a section of the Wuhan-Hangzhou high-speed railway. The Wuhan-Hangzhou high-speed railway is composed of Wugang intercity, Huang (Gang) Huang (Mei) high-speed railway, Anjiu high-speed railway, Ning'an intercity, Chihuang high-speed railway and Hangzhou-Huang high-speed railway, which connects a series of scenic spots such as Yellow Crane Tower, West Lake, Yellow Mountain, Taiping Lake, Jiuhua Mountain, Xidi, Tianzhu Mountain, etc., all the way is a picturesque scenery and is a golden tourist route.

For the people of Hangzhou, the opening of the Chihuang high-speed railway means that it will be more convenient to travel to the Huangshan Scenic Area in the future. At present, Hangzhou and Huangshan have opened the Hangzhou-Huangshan high-speed railway, but the Huangshan North Station set up by the line is located in the urban area of Huangshan, more than 40 kilometers away from the Huangshan Scenic Area, and is mainly connected by tourist buses. In contrast, the new Huangshan West Station on the Chihuang high-speed railway is less than 10 kilometers from the Huangshan Scenic Area and only 30 kilometers from the Taiping Lake Scenic Area, and tourists spend much less time on the road. In addition, the Chihuang high-speed railway has also built a new Jiuhuashan station near the Jiuhuashan Scenic Area in Chizhou, thus connecting the most beautiful areas in southern Anhui "two mountains and one lake" (Huangshan, Jiuhuashan, Taiping Lake).

In addition, the Chi-Huang high-speed railway is connected with the Ning'an intercity railway at Chizhou Station, and the Huangchang section of the Hangchang high-speed railway is connected to the Yixian East Railway Station, which solves the problem that the Ning'an intercity railway and the Hefu high-speed railway have no southbound contact line in the Tongling area, and ends the history of Anqing, Chizhou and other places along the river in Anhui Province without direct high-speed rail to Huangshan, which is of great significance for improving the layout of the regional railway network, accelerating the construction of a world-class leisure and health tourism destination in Dahuangshan, and promoting the coordinated economic and social development along the line.
