ARTS Rail Transit Exhibition News Recently, the construction of the JCXSG-13 standard of the airport liaison line located in Zhuqiao Town, Pudong New Area ushered in new progress. With the long section of the right line from Pudong Terminal 1 Station to Pudong Terminal 3 Station, the "Jianshun" shield machine as a whole has come out of the lowest point of the tunneling axis, marking that the 13th standard of the airport liaison line has officially entered the shield tunneling slope change stage.

The JCXSG-13 bid of the airport liaison line project was organized and implemented by the General Contracting Department, and the Foundation Group and the Machinery Construction Group participated in the construction. The total length of the line is about 5.71 kilometers, of which the section from Pudong Terminal 1 Station and Terminal 2 Station to Pudong Terminal 3 Station is about 3.03 kilometers long, the tunnel is a "V" slope, and the buried depth of the tunnel crest is 22 meters to 51 meters. This is the deepest shield section in Shanghai, "Panfeng", "Yuefeng", "Jiansheng" and "Jianshun" four 9-meter-diameter shield machines are working at full power, operating in the tunnel section of more than 40 degrees Celsius.

How to ensure the safety and stability of many buildings (structures) such as airport taxiways, satellite hall high-pole lighthouses, satellite halls, airport MRT tunnels (shield sections), overhead pipeline pillars and many other buildings (structures) is a major difficulty in the construction.

In order to reduce the disturbance of the surrounding soil during the tunneling process, the project team increased the slurry pressure of the shield machine, so that the ground in front of the shield machine and the buildings (structures) were always in a slight uplift trend. At the same time, the grouting amount is increased to 160%, and cement is added to the grouting synchronously to reduce the initial setting time of synchronous slurry, so that the waterproof lining is formed on the outside of the tunnel in time, which not only ensures the waterproof performance of the tunnel, but also ensures the safety and stability of the shield machine crossing process.

The ultra-deep and ultra-long-distance full-section sand layer is another challenge in shield tunneling. "Jianshun" has to excavate 1,900 meters in a full-section sand layer of 51 meters underground, which is the first time in China that such a long-distance crossing is made. According to the characteristics of the sand layer, the project team adjusted the slurry treatment equipment in time, improved the slurry circulating slurry index, and ensured the stability of various indicators in the process of propulsion. At the same time, a new thixotropic slurry with excellent lubricity and stability is used to significantly reduce the frictional resistance on the outside of the shield machine and meet the thrust demand.

In the control room, the project team followed the principle of "diligent measurement and correction, small angle correction", paid close attention to various parameters, and carried out deviation correction control in the subtle space to ensure the smooth tunneling of the shield machine.

At present, more than half of the construction tasks of the 13-standard shield section of the airport liaison line have been completed, and the shield promotion task is expected to be completed in November 2024, laying the foundation for the implementation of the subsequent section contact channel and the capping of the working shaft of Pudong Airport on schedule.
