Nanning releases a standard for rail transit terminology aimed at ASEAN

Recently, Nanning Rail Transit Operation Co., Ltd. led the formulation of a series of group standards for urban rail transit operation service terminology aimed at ASEAN countries, officially released. This marks an important breakthrough in the construction of the national-level service industry standardization pilot "Nanning Urban Rail Transit Green Smart Operation Service Standardization Pilot," which will effectively promote the advancement of China's rail transit technology, equipment, and standards into the ASEAN market.

The newly released standards include the "Terminology Reference for Urban Rail Transit Operation Services for ASEAN Countries, Vietnamese" (T/GBC124—2026), "Terminology Reference for Urban Rail Transit Operation Services for ASEAN Countries, Thai" (T/GBC125—2026), and "Terminology Reference for Urban Rail Transit Operation Services for ASEAN Countries, Malay" (T/GBC126—2026). All are bilingual versions in Chinese and English, representing the core landmark achievements of the pilot construction.

This series of standards will provide a unified terminology basis for equipment procurement, construction, and operational management of rail transit projects in ASEAN countries, helping to significantly reduce costs and barriers in cross-border communication and cooperation, thereby promoting the smoother entry of China's urban rail transit technology, equipment, and related standards into the ASEAN market.
