Rail Transit Expo News: Recently, Malaysia's Chief Secretary-General and Chairman of Malaysian Railways Limited (MRL), Shamsul Azri bin Abu Bakar, Upon arriving in Nanjing, China, we immediately held a working meeting with CRRC Nanjing Puzhen Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. to jointly advance the East Coast Railway (ECRL) Train Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Comprehensive Inspection Train (CIT) related work.

At the meeting, Shamsul Azri expressed hope that CRRC Nanjing Puzhen will further accelerate train production, testing, and delivery to ensure that the first phase of the ECRL project can officially begin commercial operation as planned in January 2027.

He believes that the ECRL project is an important part of Malaysia's national development strategy, and both sides should work together to ensure the smooth implementation of the project. During the talks, the Malaysian delegation visited CRRC's production workshop in Puzhen, Nanjing, and the train model display area, and engaged in friendly and in-depth exchanges with the Chinese technical team.

Personnel from both sides conducted on-site inspections of train manufacturing progress inside the factory and discussed next steps in the conference room. The ECRL project uses advanced train equipment provided by CRRC and is currently in the delivery sprint stage. Once completed, the project will significantly enhance transportation connectivity in Malaysia's east coast region and strongly promote regional economic development.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of this meeting and stated they will continue to maintain close communication and good cooperation to ensure the high-quality completion of the ECRL project.
