Rail Transit Expo News: Recently, many passengers have noticed that a "dog" frequently appears on Qingdao Metro Line 6. But many people don't know that its purpose for taking the subway is the same as many others'—to commute to work! With a flick of the "owner's" finger and a command, it "goes out" on its own, going upstairs and downstairs, waiting for the bus, getting on and off on its own, and riding in a civilized manner.

At Jiudingshan Station on Line 6, a passenger "encountered" a "robot dog" riding the subway. It ends its inspection of the station's equipment room, "goes downstairs" to wait on its own, and then proceeds to the next station for inspection.
This "robot dog" is officially called the Station Intelligent Inspection Robot. Its main work area is concentrated in subway station equipment rooms and public areas, specifically responsible for station equipment inspection and safety checks. It is currently being piloted on Line 6 by taking the subway across stations.

The "robot dog" is equipped with a dual-spectrum temperature measurement miniature pan-tilt head that can accurately detect device temperature and clearly scan various instruments, indicator lights, and switch statuses. Even the slightest anomalies cannot escape its eyes and brain, with temperature measurement accuracy and error controlled within 2%. With intelligent algorithms, even with limited sample data, it can accurately read instrument readings and assess equipment status, upgrading traditional automated inspections to intelligent judgment. Once abnormalities or hazards are detected, the data is displayed in the station's specialized intelligent operation and maintenance systems, allowing maintenance personnel to respond immediately. Its joints can fold in multiple directions, and there are wheel wheels underfoot. Once on flat roads, you can switch to gliding mode, making it easy to handle steps, slopes, and flat surfaces.
It is understood that this intelligent inspection robot was developed by the Qingdao Metro Artificial Intelligence Application Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as the "Zhichuang Center"). Currently, the team has won 4 national awards, 12 provincial and ministerial awards, 9 municipal awards, and 6 industry association awards. They hold 3 authorized patents and 3 invention patents, and have authored and published 2 professional books, demonstrating their solid strength in the field of scientific research.
In terms of AI technology R&D and implementation, the Zhichuang Center adopts an innovative model of vertical linkage to advance agent R&D, cumulatively identifying 1,722 application scenarios and forming 26 types of intelligent agent clusters. Currently, 16 intelligent agents have officially launched, covering four core business areas: operation and maintenance, operations, construction, and enterprise management. From equipment inspections and customer flow analysis to qualification reviews and legal audits, all tasks can be intelligently completed; More than ten other agents are accelerating pre-launch debugging and verification. At the same time, the team has also gone to the front lines, leveraging platforms, computing power, and technology resources to help frontline employees overcome work challenges, promoting various "micro" scenarios such as photovoltaic power generation forecasting, rail fastener inspection, and emergency support for large passenger flows to empower intelligent entities, continuously injecting momentum into Qingdao Metro's comprehensive intelligent development.
