The Astana Light Rail launched a system-wide joint commissioning test of 19 trains

According to the rail transit exhibition, the Astana light rail transit system (LRT) has now entered the comprehensive test stage of multiple trains, and for the first time, 19 trains have participated in the test at the same time.

It is understood that this round of testing will be carried out in unmanned, fully automatic GOA4 level mode, without the intervention of the driver.

At this stage, the relevant departments are conducting simulation tests on the actual train timetable, and at the same time conducting a comprehensive inspection of multiple links including the process of passengers getting on and off, the stopping time of trains at each station and other key operating indicators.

The Astana Municipality said that the results of this phase of testing will be used for further tuning and optimization of the system to ensure that the LRT can achieve stable, safe and reliable operation after official operation in the future.

So far, Astana has received all 19 train trains. According to the plan, after the line is officially put into operation, it is expected that 15 trains will be put into operation, and the rest will be used as spare vehicles.
