Recently, Brazilian company Motiva purchased six new metro trains for Linha 4-Amarela. The contract was confirmed by André Salcedo, head of Motiva's rail transit platform, and the train supplier is CRRC Changchun Rail Bus Co., Ltd., a Chinese rail transit equipment manufacturer.

It is reported that this procurement is an important part of supporting the extension of São Paulo Metro Line 4 in the direction of Taboão da Serra. The extension will add two new stations to improve line capacity and service coverage.

According to the plan, the project is expected to be completed and put into operation between 2028 and 2029. At that time, the passenger flow of the line is expected to increase by about 50,000 people per day, further alleviating the pressure on urban traffic and improving public transportation service capacity.
Industry insiders said that the train purchase is a key link in the expansion plan of the São Paulo metro, and also reflects the continued competitiveness of China's rail transit equipment in the international market.
