Today, I walked into the base with the reporter to visit the "new look" of the "new car" and see how it is different from the trains that have been operated?
At 9 a.m., the reporter came to CRRC Ningbo Industrial Base, and two brand new trains quietly stopped on the track, one light purple elegant and the other light blue smart. According to Li Dawei, deputy general manager of the municipal railway company, this is a new urban A-type car with a maximum speed of 160 kilometers per hour built by Ningbo Rail Transit and CRRC-Zhuzhou Machinery Company.

Among them, the train of Line 10 (Cixi Line) has "purple" as the main color, and Line 12 (Xiangshan Line) has "blue and cyan" as the main color. The front of the car adopts a shuttle design, which is in stark contrast to the "flat round" shape of the front of the existing line. The body adopts a streamlined design, with the image of "horse galloping", and the "mountain and sea artistic conception" streamers are integrated on both sides, which is light and dynamic.

As the country's first standard urban A-type car landing demonstration project, the maximum running speed of the train reaches 160 kilometers per hour, far exceeding the 80-100 km/h of the existing line. The train is 4-car train with a length of 95.3 meters, which is more than 20 meters shorter than the 6-car train of the existing line, showing the characteristics of "faster and lighter" urban railway trains. After completion and operation, the urban railway train will accelerate the integration of the north and south of the city into the main urban area, and build a "60-minute traffic circle" in Ningbo.

Different from the interior of the existing line train, the carriage adopts a new layout design, with rows of horizontal fabric seats neatly arranged, and some seats equipped with small tables to create a more comfortable and comfortable riding space.

Wider and larger dynamic map display and multimedia display make stations, routes and other information more eye-catching. The column handrail is canceled in the carriage door area to reserve more space for the subsequent urban line "track + logistics".

The first carriage of the train in both directions is also equipped with a lateral emergency evacuation device, which effectively improves the emergency evacuation efficiency of the elevated section.

In order to improve the comfort of long-distance rides, the train has applied advanced air tightness and noise control technology, and the noise in the train is better than the industry standard, and the riding experience has been significantly improved. In addition, the train is equipped with artificial intelligence and big data technology, which can analyze the congestion of the carriage in real time, and realize intelligent dimming and temperature regulation to provide passengers with a quality travel experience.

Ningbo urban trains actively respond to the national "dual carbon" strategy, and through a number of technological innovations, the energy consumption of the whole vehicle is reduced by about 15% compared with traditional urban trains.

As a "big electricity consumer" of trains, the traction system adopts advanced permanent magnet synchronous traction technology, which reduces traction energy consumption by about 14% compared with the traditional asynchronous traction system. Cui Qingyi, chief designer of CRRC Zhu Machinery, introduced: "Through structural optimization and material upgrading, the weight of the vehicle has been reduced by about 4.28 tons, which is 2.4% lower than that of conventional urban trains. It adopts a streamlined design to reduce the drag of the vehicle by 5%. The train has also achieved independent innovation of a number of key components such as oil-free air compressors and airbag bow lifting devices, which has effectively promoted the coordinated development of the industrial chain. ”

In terms of operation and maintenance, the train is equipped with an intelligent operation and maintenance system, which can monitor the status of key components in real time, and carry out fault warning and intelligent diagnosis.
In 2026, Ningbo Rail Transit plans to complete and put into operation Line 10 (Cixi Line) and Line 12 (Xiangshan Line), with a total operating mileage of more than 400 kilometers. At present, Line 12 (Xiangshan Line) has entered a new stage of train commissioning, and the whole line station has carried out mechanical and electrical installation and decoration construction, and the shield section, mountain tunnel and viaduct bridge have all been connected, and the track laying progress of the whole line has reached 81%. At the same time, all 13 stations of Line 10 (Cixi Line) have started construction, all 3 mountain tunnels have been completed, 97% of the shield section tunneling has been completed, and nearly half of the track laying progress has been completed.
