Rail Transit Exhibition News The Ministry of Construction of Vietnam recently issued a formal written reply to enterprises interested in participating in the implementation of the North-South high-speed railway project, explaining relevant concerns.

According to reports, the proposed north-south high-speed railway has a total length of about 1,541 kilometers, adopts a double-track design and gauge1,435 mm, enabling electrified operation, infrastructure at design speed of 350 km/hStandard construction.

The document has been sent to 13 enterprises that have expressed concern and intention to participate in the transportation sector, especially the North-South high-speed railway project.

A feasibility study report is being prepared

The document pointed out that in the implementation of National Assembly Resolution 172/2024/QH15 (November 30, 2025) and National Assembly Resolution 227/2025/QH15 and On the basis of the Government's Resolution 106/NQ-CP (April 23, 2025) and in accordance with the unified deployment of the Government and the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Construction is currently organizing the preparation of a feasibility study report for the North-South high-speed railway project, which includes a systematic study of the selection of project investment models.

Vietnam's Ministry of Construction said that if the project adopts the PPP model or the enterprise investment model, Official information will be released to relevant enterprises in accordance with regulations, and they will be notified to submit application materials for participating in project investment in accordance with laws and regulations.

Project information will be provided to enterprises after clarifying the investment method

Vietnam's Ministry of Construction emphasized that after the project investment method is clarified, necessary project information will be provided to relevant enterprises in a timely manner. At the same time, the Ministry of Construction is always willing to provide necessary information related to the implementation of the project after receiving consultation and formal requests from enterprises, and hopes that enterprises will continue to pay attention to and actively cooperate in the future to jointly ensure the feasibility and implementation effectiveness of the project.

The project management unit is adjusted

At present, the Ministry of Construction has handed over the task of preparing the feasibility study report of the North-South high-speed railway project to the Thang Long Project Management Committee. to replace the railway project management committee that was previously in charge of this work.

According to the relevant decision, the Thang Long Project Management Committee will be fully responsible for the preparation of the feasibility study report of the North-South high-speed railway project and assume full responsibility for the quality, schedule and cost control of the report.
