A significant milestone has been achieved in the Namma Metro in Bangalore, India. The first six-car prototype metro train, manufactured by CRRC (China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation), has successfully completed dynamic behavior evaluation and braking performance tests, and the test results have been officially confirmed by the railway safety authorities.

The prototype train arrived in Bangalore in January 2025 and has undergone various tests over the past few months. Currently, the prototype has completed key technology verification led by the Indian Railway Research, Design and Standards Organization (RDSO). Officials indicate that, pending final approval from CMRS , CCRS, and the Railway Board in March , it is scheduled to officially enter passenger service in April 2026 .
