In order to further consolidate the operation foundation of the centralized repair center and clarify the development positioning of each production line, Bi Xiangli, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Shentong Metro Group, awarded the license to the representatives of the centralized repair production line of each component of the vehicle.
Zhang Yu, vice president of Shentong Metro Group, reviewed the construction process of the Shanghai Metro Vehicle Parts Centralized Repair Center in his speech. In the past four years, Shanghai Metro has formed 9 core component maintenance capabilities, of which the bogie maintenance center has obtained ISO 22163 quality system certification, realizing the transformation from "decentralized maintenance" to "intensive and efficient". Zhang Yu stressed that autonomy is not a single thing, cooperation can go far, it is necessary to continue to promote the transformation of professional maintenance to full life cycle management, full process coverage and maintenance, promote the strategic upgrade of "independent tackling" to "open empowerment", and achieve a leap from the dimensions of value, technology and governance. He called on all parties to work together to go to the future with this event as a new starting point, further strengthen safety resilience and core competitiveness, build a coordination system for the whole industry chain, and contribute more to the high-quality development of Shanghai Metro, the better travel of citizens and the prosperity of the city.
Dr. Jonathan Paddison, Director of Knorr-Bremse Asia Pacific, delivered a speech at the inauguration ceremony of the Shanghai Metro Brake System Maintenance Center. Braddison said that since the first cooperation with Shanghai Metro Line 1 in the early 90s, Knorr-Bremse has always been committed to meeting the evolving needs of Shanghai Metro, ensuring that every step of development is safe, reliable and continuous innovation. The completion of the brake system maintenance center is not only a new chapter in the cooperation between Knorr-Bremse and Shanghai Metro, but also an important milestone for the entire industry, promoting the upgrading of vehicle equipment technology, improving the industrial ecosystem, and promoting the coordinated development of upstream and downstream. At present, the completed component maintenance capacity includes bogies, gearboxes, couplers, door systems, traction motors, traction and auxiliary reversal systems, as well as the braking system at the Yuanjiang Road base, which basically covers the core components related to vehicle operation safety.
