Rail transit exhibition news, by CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd. (CRRC ZELC),CRRC Rolling Stock Centre (M) Sdn Bhd) and CKM Landas MRO Sdn Bhd, a consortium of CRRC Malaysia Rolling Stock Centre (M) Sdn Bhd, has beenBecoming a leading candidate for Prasarana Malaysia Bhd's RM1.1 billion LRT procurement project.

The project will provide 26 four-car trains for the Kelana Jaya LRT in Kuala Lumpur, covering manufacturing, supply, delivery, testing and commissioning. Industry insiders pointed out that the CRRC ZELC consortium is more competitive and is expected to win at a bid price about 20% lower, and the contract results are expected to be announced in the near future.
According to the analysis, Prasarana has been under great financial pressure in recent years, and its low-price, high-quality solutions are more in line with its cost considerations. If the project is officially implemented, it will become an important breakthrough for Chinese rail transit companies in Malaysia, and further consolidate CRRC's brand and technical influence in the Southeast Asian market.
Currently, CRRC has an assembly plant in Batu Kayang, Perak, Malaysia, with a total investment of about RM400 million, and is in discussions with local institutions to introduce local shareholder cooperation.
The promotion of this project is expected to drive the development of the local rail industry chain and promote China-Malaysia rail transit cooperation to a higher level.
