On October 18, the National Institute of Technology (IPN) welcomed a delegation from the Department of Education of Hunan Province, Hunan Railway Professional Technology College (HNRPC) and CRRC México.

This visit further consolidates IPN's internationalization strategy and promotes in-depth cooperation in the fields of science and technology, focusing on key areas such as railway transportation equipment manufacturing, intelligent rail transit and sustainable development. The event was successfully held on the IPN campus, with in-depth roundtable discussions and facility tours by representatives from both sides. IPN's international relations department said that the interaction aims to explore joint research projects, academic exchanges and technology transfer mechanisms to help China and Mexico collaborate on innovation in high-speed rail technology and infrastructure construction. At the scene, the delegates shared their experience in railway vocational education and visited the relevant laboratories of IPN, reflecting the foundation of mutual trust between education and industrial institutions of the two countries.

Founded in 1951, Hunan Railway Vocational and Technical College is a national demonstration higher vocational college in the field of rail transit equipment manufacturing in China, and its graduates mainly serve CRRC Group, China National Railway Group and global high-speed rail projects. The college has established strategic partnerships with several international companies, including CRRC, and this visit is an important part of its international layout, aiming to expand the Latin American market and cultivate cross-cultural technical talents through cooperation with IPN.
As the world's leading rail transit equipment supplier, CRRC has been deeply involved in the Mexican market for many years. The delegation, led by senior Chinese officials, emphasized the introduction of advanced high-speed rail technology and intelligent manufacturing solutions to support the upgrading of Mexico's national infrastructure. The IPN representative pointed out that such cooperation is in line with the national development plan, helps to enhance the international competitiveness of local engineering talents, and injects new impetus into the China-Mexico partnership under the "Belt and Road" initiative.
IPN has significantly expanded its international network in recent years, signing more than 60 overseas agreements in 2024. This visit marks a new stage in railway education cooperation with China, and the two sides plan to launch student visits, joint seminars and technical workshops in the future.
