Comrade Song Xiude was appointed secretary of the party group of the State Railway Administration

On the morning of August 19, 2025, the relevant responsible comrades of the Organization Department of the Central Committee attended the meeting of leading cadres of the State Railway Administration and announced the decision of the central government: Comrade Song Xiude was appointed secretary of the party group of the State Railway Administration.

According to his public resume, Song Xiude, born in 1967, graduated from Changsha Railway Institute with a bachelor's degree, graduated from Shijiazhuang Railway Institute with a master's degree, and received a doctorate from the School of Economics and Management of Northern Jiaotong University.

He has served as: Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Chairman of Guangzhou Railway (Group) Company, Director and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Kunming Railway Bureau, Director and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Harbin Railway Bureau, General Manager of China Railway Express Co., Ltd., Director and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Chengdu Railway Bureau, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Railway Chengdu Bureau Group Co., Ltd.

In December 2019, he served as the chief dispatcher and director of the transportation department of the National Railway Group, and in February 2023, he was appointed as the deputy general manager and member of the party group of the National Railway Group.

In September 2024, he was appointed deputy secretary of the party group of the National Railway Group, and in December of the same year, Song Xiude was appointed director, general manager and deputy secretary of the party group of the National Railway Group.

On June 12 this year, Fei Dongbin, a member of the party group of the Ministry of Transport, secretary of the party group and director of the State Railway Administration, was investigated on suspicion of serious violations of discipline and law.
