On August 17, 2025, China's northernmost high-speed railway, the Harbin-Qiqihar high-speed railway (Haqi high-speed railway), celebrated its 10th anniversary. In the past ten years, the Haqi high-speed railway EMU has operated safely for a total of 81.89 million kilometers and transported more than 100 million passengers.
On August 17, 2015, the 282-kilometer-long Haqi high-speed railway was officially put into operation. The opening of the high-speed rail has reduced the running time between Haqi and Haqi from 5 hours 10 years ago to 1 hour and 24 minutes. In the past ten years, the number of high-speed rail pairs has been increasing, from 20 pairs at the beginning of opening to 54 pairs at present, with a minimum interval of 6 minutes, realizing "bus" operation. The Haqi high-speed railway closely connects the cities along the route, promotes the free flow of market factors such as talents, capital, and technology, and effectively promotes the prosperity and development of the Harbin-Daqi Industrial Corridor.Heilongjiang has heavy winter winds and heavy snow, and EMUs operate at a speed of 250 kilometers per hour in weather at minus 35 degrees Celsius, which brings challenges to EMU maintenance and maintenance. China Railway Harbin Bureau Group Company has carried out 51 cold-proof transformations on the EMU bogie system and braking system, and developed and put into use scientific and technological means such as the "EMU operation fault image detection system", EMU ice melting and snow removal hot water pressurization device and intelligent inspection robot under the vehicle to monitor the EMU operation process in real time, accumulating valuable experience for China's alpine high-speed rail operation and maintenance. In the past ten years, the Haqi high-speed railway has driven the development of various industries along the line, promoted regional economic integration, and heated up Daqing wetland tours, "Erbin" parent-child tours, research tours, and "high-speed rail one-day tours" have become a "new trend" for tourism. The continuous operation of the "barbecue train" has attracted countless tourists to eat food and go sightseeing, transforming the "flow" of passengers into "retention", and injecting strong momentum into the development of Heilongjiang's cultural tourism industry.
