According to the Rail Transit Exhibition, Minister of Transport Lu Zhaofu revealed that the two new ETS3 double-track electric trains built by CRRC have successfully arrived in Malaysia and are expected to be put into operation as soon as August, which will further improve the carrying capacity of Malaysia's railway services.
"The first two ETS3 trains have arrived in Malaysia and the two electric trains to the south (including Johor Bahru Sentral Station) are now fully assembled and undergoing technical tests, including dynamic tests and zero-fault tests."
"The remaining eight ETS3 trains are also being assembled in stages at the assembly plant in Huadu Yaye."
Loke made the remarks after a working visit at Malaya Railways' train maintenance centre in Vantugaya on Friday (April 25).Loke said all 10 trains are expected to be completed and put into service early next year, further enhancing the overall capacity of Malaysia's rail transport.
