Congratulations MTR! Geneva won a record 15 medals

Rail Transit Exhibition News MTR Corporation won a total of 15 awards at the 50th Geneva International Event, a record high.

This impressive achievement includes three "Special Jury Commendation Gold Medals", four gold medals, seven silver medals and one bronze medal.

MTR's award-winning projects focused on four themes, including "Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning", "Smart Mobility Solutions", "Smart Operations and Maintenance", and "Green and Inclusive Innovation".

Metro Maestro is a smart mobility solution that was one of three projects in which the group was awarded the Gold Jury's Special Commendation. It leverages machine learning and big data analytics to reveal passenger patterns, predict passenger flow, and assist with crowd management.

The projects "Hypersonic Acoustics and Vibration Fusion Sensor" and "Automatic Tunnel Detection System" also received the Gold Jury's Commendation.

In addition, SparkVision, an advanced arc detection system that uses artificial intelligence to monitor video footage of overhead power lines during train operation, won a gold medal at the event. By identifying sparks caused by faulty connections, SparkVision has been able to improve train safety.

NoiseRadar, a portable device designed to detect incoming noise, provide maintenance recommendations, and ensure the tranquility of nearby communities, was one of eight projects to receive a Silver Medal.

In light of this remarkable success, MTR Corporation is committed to continuing to leverage innovative technologies and artificial intelligence to improve customer service, operational excellence and maintenance efficiency.

The Geneva International Invention Event attracted the participation of more than 40 countries and regions. There were more than 1,000 inventions in this year's event, of which 300 were from Hong Kong.
