Taizhou Municipal Railway S2 Line Vehicle Project was officially launched

Rail Transit Exhibition News On March 18, the kick-off meeting and the first design liaison meeting of the S2 line vehicle project of Taizhou Municipal Railway were held in Taizhou. This is a new starting point for CRRC Tangshan Company and Taizhou Rail Transit Company to cooperate again after the Taizhou Municipal Railway S1 Line Vehicle Project, which will further improve Taizhou's transportation conditions and promote the optimization of urban spatial layout and high-quality economic and social development.

Huang Yongsheng, General Manager of Taizhou Rail Transit Company, Qian Weijian, Deputy General Manager, Shi Xiangdong, Technical Director, Tan Mu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of CRRC Tangshan Company, Li Ying, Deputy General Manager, and leaders of the Academy of Railway Sciences (Beijing) Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd. and Taizhou Taichung Rail Transit Co., Ltd. attended the project kick-off meeting.

In his speech at the kick-off meeting, Tan Mu expressed his gratitude to Taizhou Rail Transit Company and its partners for their care, guidance and help to CRRC Tangshan Company. Tan Mu pointed out that the S1 line project of Taizhou Municipal Railway has been successfully opened and safely operated so far, which has greatly facilitated the travel of Taizhou people and has become a beautiful business card for Taizhou's urban development. During the implementation of the project, CRRC Tangshan Company integrated advanced design concepts into vehicle manufacturing to ensure that the vehicles reached the industry-leading level in terms of safety, comfort and other performance. After the line was put into operation, CRRC Tangshan worked closely with Taizhou Railway Company and partners to continue to deepen technical research such as intelligent operation and maintenance to ensure the safe and stable operation of the line.

Tan Mu said that the S2 line vehicle project of Taizhou Municipal Railway is another important milestone in the history of Taizhou's transportation development, and it is also a new starting point for CRRC Tangshan Company and Taizhou Rail Transit Company to work together again to create brilliance. CRRC Tangshan Company will continue to improve its technical level and service capabilities, make every effort to build the project into a pilot project for the independence of urban rail equipment, set a benchmark and demonstration in the industry, and contribute more Tangche wisdom and strength to the development of Taizhou's transportation industry.

As a "thousands of trillions" project to expand effective investment in Zhejiang Province, the S2 line of Taizhou Municipal Railway has a total length of 66.57 kilometers and a construction period of 54 months. After the completion of the project, it will form an urban rail transit backbone network of "eastward expansion and westward expansion, south and north crossing" in the central urban area together with the S1 line of the municipal railway, which is of great significance for promoting the integrated development of "three districts and two cities", promoting the upgrading and expansion of comprehensive transportation, and improving the travel conditions of residents.

The first phase of the S1 line of Taizhou Municipal Railway was put into operation on December 28, 2022, and CRRC Tangshan Company undertook the project as a consortium, and was also responsible for the development of 31 new urban EMUs with a speed of 140 kilometers per hour.

In recent years, relying on the advantages of high-end equipment manufacturing, CRRC Tangshan Company has vigorously developed the urban infrastructure business, built a good industrial chain layout, and has the ability to provide customers with system solutions of "product + technology + management + capital + service".
