Rail Transit Exhibition News The new metro train HR4000 manufactured by CRRC has recently been put into use in the Los Angeles Metro. According to the staff, at present, this type of train mainly serves the subway line D. By the beginning of 2025, the number of metro trains will be expanded, and in exceptional cases, they may be temporarily redeployed to Line B.

The most obvious change between the new train and the old model is that it is brand new, clean and spotless. And has the following characteristics:

The seats are oriented towards the center of the carriage, which increases the capacity and accommodates more standing passengers during peak traffic periods.

The carriages are designed with an "open carriage connection". This allows passengers to move freely between the entire train of carriages. However, not all new trains have open connections, but are open at every other junction, so every two cars are called "spouse cars". The trains are equipped with a new electronic display system, including line signage on the outside of the carriages, to more clearly mark the B (red line) and D (purple line) trains.
