Recently, Xinhua News Agency focused on the train developed by CRRC Changchun Passenger Co., Ltd., as an important achievement of China-Brazil cooperation, operating efficiently on intercity lines and subway lines in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, injecting modern power into local public transportation.

More than 600 trains are currently available on Rio Metro Lines 1, 2, 4 and intercity lines. The train uses a number of advanced technologies, including a broad-gauge bogie for A-cars, a dual-signaling system compatible design, and unitary air conditioning units that can operate stably in high-temperature environments, not only to meet the needs of Brazil's climate and geography, but also to fully integrate elements of South American culture.
