The world's largest diameter high-speed rail shield machine "Pilot" tunneled more than 1,000 rings

On October 20, China's self-developed world's largest diameter high-speed rail shield machine "Pilot" broke through 1,000 rings in the Chongtai Yangtze River Tunnel of Shanghai-Chongqing-Rong High-speed Railway. The Chongtai Yangtze River Tunnel connects Chongming in Shanghai and Taicang in Jiangsu Province, with a total length of 14.25 kilometers, and is expected to realize high-speed rail crossing the river without slowing down after completion, which is of great significance for promoting the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
