Southwest Jiaotong University was approved as a National College of Outstanding Engineers!

On September 27, the promotion meeting for the integration of industry and education for outstanding engineers was held in Beijing. Southwest Jiaotong University has been approved as the construction unit of the National Excellent Engineer College, which will further help the school cultivate high-level and high-quality engineering leading talents.

The National College of Outstanding Engineers is an important measure to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee, implement the spirit of the Central Talent Work Conference and the spirit of the National Education Conference, accelerate the construction of national strategic talent forces, and accelerate the formation of new quality productivity. In December 2023, Southwest Jiaotong University officially established the School of Excellence for Engineers. At present, the School of Excellence Engineers conducts joint training of master's and doctoral degrees in engineering in key fields such as artificial intelligence, new generation information and communication technology, new materials, smart energy, semiconductors, and cybersecurity.
