Rescuers then arrived at the scene to search and rescue, a man around 40 years old was rescued, and the scene was confirmed dead, and the cause of the accident is still under further investigation. The accident caused some train services on the MTR East Rail Line to be temporarily disrupted, but it has now been restored.

It is learnt that after the incident, two trains bound for Admiralty and Lok Ma Chau respectively were forced to stop at Kowloon Tong Station. It took about one hour for rescuers to remove the man's body off the tracks. During this period, the MTR temporarily suspended the train service of the East Rail Line between Mong Kok East Station and Tai Wai Station.
Until about 14 o'clock today, the MTR said that the rail crash accident had been properly handled, and the train service of the East Rail Line gradually returned to normal.
