More than 30 Chinese and foreign journalists from 8 countries visited the Chengdu Metro Line 30 proj

Rail Transit Exhibition News On the morning of September 4, nearly 30 Chinese and foreign media friends from the 2024 "Belt and Road" Media Cooperation Forum Joint Interview Group, hosted by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, People's Daily, the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee, and the Sichuan Provincial People's Government, visited the Chengdu Metro Line 30 Phase I project undertaken by China Communications Construction Group. Through interviews, field visits, and immersive experiences on the train, they became the first batch of "passengers" on Line 30, felt the charm of Chengdu's rail transit development, learned about the achievements of Chengdu's rail city construction, and sang the harmony of high-quality development of the joint construction of the "Belt and Road".

Cao Pengcheng, deputy director of the International Department of People's Daily, Wu Jing, deputy director of the Party and Mass Propaganda Department of Chengdu Rail Transit Group, Cha Changmiao, executive director of the Party Committee Work Department (Party Committee Propaganda Department, Brand Culture Department) of China Communications Construction Group, and Hu Kejun, deputy secretary of the Party Committee, secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, and chairman of the trade union of China Communications Construction Rail Transit Branch and China Railway Engineering Group, attended the event.

Cao Pengcheng thanked Chengdu Rail Transit Group and China Communications Construction for their strong support for this event. He pointed out that the focus of this visit is to enhance the understanding of Chinese enterprises' practical experience and explore ways of common development through field visits. He also hopes that this visit will promote deeper exchanges and cooperation.

On behalf of CCCC, Cha Changmiao expressed his gratitude to the Chinese and foreign media friends who came from afar, and introduced how CCCC, under the “Belt and Road” initiative, has promoted the connectivity and development of 157 countries and regions around the world through its participation in infrastructure construction. At the same time, through the “CCCC Dream Aid” campaign, it has actively fulfilled its social responsibilities, promoted cultural exchanges, and improved the welfare of local people’s livelihood, demonstrating the positive role of enterprises in promoting global cooperation and cultural exchanges.

On behalf 

of CCCC Rail Transit Branch, Hu Kejun expressed his sincere gratitude to the journalists present and introduced the achievements of CCCC Rail Transit Business at home and abroad. He said that CCCC has become the main force in China's rail transit construction and actively participated in rail transit projects around the world, promoting international cooperation and development under the "Belt and Road" initiative.

At the Line 30 Emergency Monitoring and Training and Education Center, the project leader gave a detailed introduction to media friends from various countries on the construction and operation of Chengdu Rail Transit, the progress of the Line 30 project, and the various new processes, technologies and methods used in the project construction process.

The reporters expressed admiration for Chengdu Metro's leading position in the world's urban subway mileage rankings, its high-quality operation services, and its relatively advanced technical system, and paid tribute to the wisdom and hard work of Chinese engineers.

During the visit, foreign media friends also experienced a series of simulation equipment including helmet impact test, mechanical injury simulation, comprehensive electricity safety demonstration and emergency first aid training.

At the locomotive and vehicle operation depot of Gaobeiba Depot, media friends boarded the fully automatic driverless subway train of Line 30. The staff introduced the design style of the train, the characteristics and advantages of driverless technology in detail. When they learned that the train can realize intelligent analysis through the in-car camera, monitor the passenger density in the car, and detect whether there are any items left behind or people stranded, media friends could not help but express high praise for its advanced nature.

Yasmin Gumi, senior editor of the Iraqi International News Agency, was very surprised by the application of new technologies and processes. She said: "Technology is the key factor. These technologies enable people to connect faster and improve travel efficiency."

Bencharapong Wilayong, a reporter from Lao National Television, is extremely excited about the development of fully automatic operation technology: "Fully automatic operation technology is an important development trend in the current global railway industry. It can not only improve operational efficiency and reduce human errors, but also achieve more accurate scheduling and safer operation. If I have the opportunity to return to Chengdu again, I hope to experience Line 30. It will be a very exciting moment."

Lydia Wang, chief commercial officer of Malaysia's The Star, was a member of the interview group. She also appreciated what she saw. "It looks very good. I think it is a very modern system. It is very impressive to see that China is so closely connected with the world."

Chengdu is an important node city of the national "Belt and Road" strategy. The Phase I project of Chengdu Rail Transit Line 30 undertaken by China Communications Construction carries the mission of actively implementing the national strategy of "jointly building the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin Cities Economic Circle" and comprehensively establishing the brand image of "China Communications Railway" in the western region. The project is of great significance in supporting the construction of Shuangliu Airport Linkong Economic Zone and Eastern New City, increasing the density of the southern urban rail network, optimizing the structure and performance of Chengdu's rail transit network, and strengthening economic, cultural and social exchanges among various regions in Chengdu.
