These data are the best footnotes to the achievements of the intelligent construction of heavy-haul railways of the national energy group Baoshen Railway Group (hereinafter referred to as Baoshen Railway Group).
On August 3, Baoshen Railway Group held a conference on the scientific and technological achievements of heavy-haul railway intelligent driving with the theme of "Empowering Heavy-Haul Intelligent Driving Future", and released six technical standards and a series of scientific and technological innovation achievements of "Locomotive Intelligent Driving System Based on Fixed Blockage". This marks the large-scale and pedigree application of heavy-haul railway intelligent driving technology.
Achieve a number of domestic firsts
Baoshen Railway GroupShenshuo lineIt is located in the plateau area in the north of Shanxi and Shanxi provinces, and is an important part of the second largest channel of "West Coal to East". As a heavy-haul railway, the railway slope is steep and sharp, the minimum turning radius is only 400 meters, the maximum slope is 12‰, and there are many bridges, tunnels and culverts on the whole line, which makes it extremely difficult to operate the train running on the line.
In order to solve the operational difficulties and ensure the safety of driving, Baoshen Railway Group, CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd. and CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Research Institute Co., Ltd. launched a joint project on intelligent driving technology in 2018 for the "four major problems" of Shenshuo Line, such as geography, line, climate and long slope. A year later, China's first "3+0" mode intelligent driving 10,000-ton heavy-haul train was successfully launched on the Shenshuo Line of Baoshen Railway Group.
After 5 years of continuous struggle, now Baoshen Railway Group has adopted a total of 30 locomotives with intelligent driving technology, and the 10,000-ton train marshalling mode has "3 + 0", "2 + 0" and "1 + 0", etc., taking the lead in realizing the genealogy and batch application of intelligent driving technology for heavy-haul freight trains in China.
"The batch application of Baoshen Railway Group's intelligent driving technology achievements has achieved a number of domestic firsts, the first time to realize the automatic shunting operation based on Beidou high-precision positioning, signal and foreign body detection and protection, the first time to use rain and snow mode on heavy-haul trains, and the first time to carry out locomotive panoramic status monitoring and remote driving, etc., which has greatly improved the efficiency and safety guarantee ability of heavy-haul railway transportation." Bian Liping, general manager of Baoshen Railway Group, said.
"In the past, three 8-axle locomotives were used to pull a 10,000-ton train in '3+0' mode, which required six crew members to operate it. After the application of intelligent driving technology, two 12-axle locomotives of Guoneng ('2+0' mode) are used to pull 10,000-ton trains, and only 2 crew members are required to be on duty, and one 24-axle locomotive of Guoneng ('1+0' mode) is used to pull 10,000-ton trains, and only one person is required to be on duty. Zhang Bixiang, director of the Zhugeta regional application workshop of the Baoshen Railway Group Locomotive Maintenance Branch, said that the intelligent construction has significantly improved the transportation efficiency of the heavy-haul railway, and the labor intensity of the crew has also been greatly reduced.
Translate research results into technical standards
In the process of promoting the intelligent construction of heavy-haul railways, Baoshen Railway Group and other relevant parties have carried out research on intelligent driving technology based on improving the key technical level, economic performance and driving experience of locomotives on the Shenshuo Line, and have achieved a number of scientific and technological achievements.
At the same time, in order to better serve the intelligent construction of heavy-haul railways and realize the standardization and normalization of locomotive intelligent driving technology, Baoshen Railway Group will establish a project in 2022 to carry out research on locomotive intelligent driving technology standards. After the opening meeting, the first draft review meeting, soliciting opinions, and submitting the draft for approval and other standardized processes, the project finally formed six standard documents related to locomotive intelligent driving technology.
It is reported that these standard documents focus on on-site application, safety management, technology accumulation, and achievement transformation, and create a full-element, full-scene perception system from the perspective of decision-making, management, and application, aiming to provide more comprehensive data support for people, vehicles, and roads.
"Intelligence is a significant feature of the modern comprehensive transportation system, Baoshen Railway Group has taken the lead in the research of locomotive intelligent driving system based on fixed blockage, carried out a lot of practical exploration, and carried out all-round development and research of locomotive intelligent driving system technology." Bian Liping said that the standard document standardizes the overall principles, system architecture, functional requirements, performance requirements, interface requirements, environmental adaptability requirements, test and maintenance requirements of the locomotive intelligent driving system.
Chu Feiyue, vice president of the China Communications and Transportation Association, said that the release of these technical standards will play a huge role in promoting the use of artificial intelligence and big data technology in the rail transit industry to unify a series of intelligent standards for heavy-haul railways, build smart rail transit, cultivate and expand new quality productivity, and realize the high-quality integrated development of the transportation industry and energy transportation.
