On the morning of May 14, the Guangzhou-Foshan South Ring Road and Foguan Intercity Railway were opened for test rides.

"At present, Guangzhou-Foshan South Ring Road, Foguan intercity will be opened for operation as soon as possible after the completion of trial operation and various corresponding procedures, after the opening, it will be connected with the Fozhou-Zhaozhou intercity and Dongguan-Huizhou intercity that has been opened, to achieve four-line operation, forming a total length of 258 kilometers, across 5 cities, east-west traffic artery, effectively strengthen the regional transportation links of Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhaoqing, Dongguan, Huizhou and other 5 cities, and accelerate the formation of a 'Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area 1-hour commuting circle'." Xu Kunjie, director of the Propaganda Department of Guangzhou Metro Group, introduced.

After the opening of the fourth line, it will span five cities.

It is understood that after the opening of the fourth line, with Panyu Station as the center, to the west for the Guangzhao intercity, to the east for the Guanghui intercity, the whole line has 39 stations, including 5 stations in Guangzhou, 9 stations in Foshan, 6 stations in Zhaoqing, 12 stations in Dongguan, 7 stations in Huizhou, and the maximum speed of the train is 200 kilometers.

Bus-based operation, multiple ticket purchases are available at any time

"In order to meet the travel needs of different passengers, after the completion of the four lines, the 'station stop + big station express' public transport operation mode will be fully enabled, and two new express stops will be added to Panyu Station and Guangzhou Chimelong Station, and the number of express stops on the whole line will reach 14." Zhang Qiao, chief engineer of the station service center of Guangdong Intercity Company, said.

At present, the two intercity express bus stops that have been opened are Zhaoqing, Dinghu East, Dawang, Sanshui North, Foshan West, Dongguan West, Xiping West, Songshan Hubei, Changping South, Chenjiangnan, Xihu East and Xiaojinkou Station. "After the operation, the driving organization will be flexibly adjusted according to the actual passenger flow of the line, and the specific operating period and operating interval will be further clarified before the opening in combination with the transportation organization plan." Zhang Qiao said.

During the Guangzhou-Foshan South Ring Road and Foguan Intercity Operation Test, the Guangdong Intercity Operating Company preliminarily calculated that after the four-line operation, it will take about 30 minutes to take the "Big Station Express" from Guangzhou Chimelong Station to Foshan West Railway Station and Dongguan Xiping West Station, and about 60 minutes to Zhaoqing Dinghu East Station and Huizhou Chenjiang South Station, which will give full play to the radiation and driving role of Guangzhou's core cities and realize 30 minutes from Guangzhou to Foshan and Dongguan centers, and 60 minutes to other cities.

In terms of ticket purchase, Guangzhao and Guanghui Intercity will continue to use the "12306+ Intercity Railway Transit Diversified Payment" dual ticketing system of Guangqing and Guangzhou East Ring Intercity.

On May 15, the multi-payment ticketing system of intercity railway bus will be launched on the Fozhao, Dongguan-Huizhou intercity railway. Zhang Qiao reminded that passengers need to register on the official APP of Guangzhou Metro in advance to use the intercity railway bus multi-payment ticketing system, use the intercity boarding code after passing the real-name verification, and can also use their ID cards and other documents to carry out real-name verification on the station equipment, use the physical ticket card and verify the face before entering the station, please prepare for travel in advance.
