On the afternoon of May 6, local time, the sixth meeting of the Sino-French Entrepreneur Committee was officially held.

More than 200 representatives from the Chinese and French governments and enterprises attended the closing ceremony, and Mr. Zhou Ling of New United Group was invited to attend the sixth meeting of the Sino-French Entrepreneur Committee. At the meeting, Mr. Zhou Ling and Mr. Hanfari, CEO of Alstom France, came to the stage as the first group of signatories.

In 2023, New United Group and Alstom signed a 20-year contract renewal contract at the "Fifth Sino-French Entrepreneurs Conference" in Beijing. During this meeting, the two sides joined hands again and signed a contract for the procurement of traction systems for major projects.

New United Group and Alstom of France unanimously stated that based on the successful cooperation in the past 20 years and the confidence in the sustainable development of China's future market, the two parties will continue to work together to deepen the domestic and foreign rail transit electric traction market, continue to increase investment in the field of technology, break through core technologies, and realize the closed loop of the whole value chain from R&D, design, application to commissioning, installation and quality assurance. At the same time, we will continue to expand the scope of cooperation, continue to deepen pragmatic cooperation, and expand and strengthen Jiangsu New United Alstom Traction System Co., Ltd., a Sino-French joint venture.

Founded in 2002, New United Group is a backbone enterprise of the National Torch Program Rail Industry Base and a key manufacturer of rolling stock supporting products of the Railway Corporation. Over the years, the group has been unanimously recognized by the rail transit industry and the government. In 2019, the on-board electromechanical products of rail vehicles were awarded the "Manufacturing Individual Champion Demonstration Enterprise" by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and in 2022, the "Demonstration Project of Green Drive Solution and Intelligent Control System Application of Rail Transit" of New United Group won the 7th China Industry Award. Over the years, New United Group has always practiced the strategic deployment of "transportation power", led the technological transformation of rail transit, and strived to continuously promote the development of the urban rail transit industry through scientific and technological innovation.

The company's products are widely used in high-speed rail, intercity trains, locomotives and light rail and other rail transit fields. It has successively provided products and services for export projects in Iran, Saudi Arabia, Bangkok and Belarus, and has provided products and services to more than 30 major cities in China, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Wuhan, Nanjing, Changzhou, Hohhot, Urumqi, Xiamen and Nantong.

In recent years, the joint venture company (Jiangsu New United Alstom Traction System Co., Ltd.) has developed and produced a new generation of silicon carbide permanent magnet motor traction system, which has been successfully used in Chengdu Line 7 and other projects to achieve passenger carrying operation. The train of this demonstration project has become the first subway train in China to adopt all-silicon carbide traction system technology. The company's electric traction and assistance systems have the advantage of being compact and lightweight. Lightweight design not only improves overall performance, but also reduces the cost of other systems as well as the investment and operating costs of the end user.

At present, the CITYFLO650 signaling system of the joint venture company has been applied to Changzhou Metro Line 1/2, Wuhu Rail Transit Line 1/2 and other projects, and the APM (Automated People Mover) projects of Shenzhen Bao'an Airport, Chengdu Tianfu International Airport and Beijing Capital International Airport have all been fully automated and unmanned.

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, and New United Group will join hands with Alstom to practice the "Sino-French Spirit" of independence, mutual understanding, foresight, mutual benefit and win-win, and take this signing as an opportunity to jointly contribute to the mutually beneficial cooperation between China and France in the fields of energy transition and green urban rail, help global carbon reduction, achieve sustainable and win-win development, contribute to the high-quality development of China's urban rail transit industry, develop new quality productivity according to local conditions, and help China-France pragmatic cooperation move towards "new".
