Japan's Sapporo subway has a rare tire burst causing chaos

According to the Municipal Transportation Bureau, just after 11 a.m., a six-car Namboku Line train from Aso to Makoma passed through Kita-24 Station when a flat tire detection device on the track suddenly sounded. After inspection by the depot, it was found that the tire of the fifth car in the first few cars had a flat tire. According to the transportation department, flat tires are rare. The deformation of the tires and wheels was confirmed.

It was found that the cause of the tire failure was a problem at a site on the south side of Aso Station, which was undergoing refurbishment work. Services on this section are suspended from 2:15 p.m. and passengers are transported by alternative buses. Course change between Kita 24 ~ Makomanai.
