Sun Jie, a member of the leading party group and deputy director of Qingdao Municipal Development and Reform Commission, appeared on Minsheng Online on The afternoon of November 18 to answer netizens' concerns about subway line construction.

It is reported that Qingdao successfully obtained the approval of the third phase of rail transit planning, with the total approved mileage exceeding 500 kilometers. Currently, five subways are under construction at the same time, among which, the southern section of Line 1 will be opened to traffic before the Spring Festival, and Qingdao metro is gradually connected to the network.

Combined with urban development, a new round of network planning revision work has been started. According to the approved Qingdao rail transit network planning, both Line 10 and Line 12 are in the preliminary planning and research stage, and the line station scheme has not been finalized. After meeting the relevant national requirements, it will be included in the subsequent construction planning and submitted for approval.

Among them, Line 10 is expected to connect hongdao Railway Station, high-tech zone, north bank of Baisha River and east area of Chengyang, becoming an important east-west rail transit channel in the north bank urban area. In combination with urban development, factors such as passenger flow benefit, scale of commuter flow and support of large passenger flow points will be taken into overall consideration.

The section from Jinggangshan to jialing River west of Metro Line 13 is under intensive construction and is scheduled to open in 2023.

The construction of Metro Line 15 is currently going through preliminary procedures by Qingdao Metro Group. The construction period is five years, and the construction is expected to start in the first half of 2022 after the completion of procedures.
