Compared with the previous generation of smart rail, version 2.0 of smart rail has also been upgraded in terms of green and energy saving. The vehicle adopts a new streamlined hood shape, which is both beautiful and reduces wind resistance, and the vehicle has a greater sense of speed, just like a high-speed train on the road. "Through lightweight design, the curb weight of smart rail is reduced by 36.4%, and the traction energy-saving effect is more than 20%." Xiao Lei said.
Not only that, due to the use of rubber wheels and virtual track technology, there is no need to lay steel rails and erect power supply networks, the construction and maintenance costs are greatly reduced, and the carbon dioxide emissions per kilometer of line can also be reduced by about 769 tons, superimposed regenerative braking energy feedback technology, the energy feedback ratio of smart rail reaches 30%, and the energy consumption of equipment is reduced by 86.4%, which is a proper emission reduction "expert".
"It can also support a variety of energy supply methods such as fast-charging lithium batteries, supercapacitors, hydrogen energy, and catenary power supply, which can meet the needs of different scenarios." Xiao Lei said that the use of fast-charging lithium batteries, the maximum range of smart rail can reach 200 kilometers, and the use of hydrogen power, the maximum range can reach 500 kilometers. And its fast charging ability is also excellent, and it can increase the range by 20 kilometers after 5 minutes of charging.

It is reported that since its introduction to the market in 2017, 9 smart rail lines have been opened and operated in Xi'an, Yibin, Suzhou, Harbin, Zhuzhou and other domestic cities, with an operating mileage of more than 130 kilometers, a total of more than 15 million kilometers of safe operation of the opening lines, more than 35 million passengers, and more than 24,500 tons of energy saving and carbon reduction.
