"Zhuzhou-made" phosphate hopper cars shipped to Saudi Arabia

News from the Rail Transit Exhibition : On September 6, 65 phosphate hopper cars of CRRC Zhuzhou Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. were loaded on ships from Changshu Port and Zhangjiagang Port and sent to Saudi Arabia.

This order for 65 phosphate hopper cars is an additional order following the successful delivery of the first batch of 135 cars by CRRC Zhuzhou Vehicle Co., Ltd. in December 2023. This fully demonstrates the recognition of foreign customers for the product quality and service of CRRC Zhuzhou Vehicle Co., Ltd.

This product is mainly used in local mining logistics for the transportation of phosphate ore powder. It has a load capacity of 100 tons and adopts advanced automatic opening and closing top cover and bottom door funnel technology. It can match the existing local loading facilities and ground unloading facilities to achieve automatic loading and unloading functions. All control systems and mechanisms are dust-proof, which can not only adapt to Saudi Arabia's sandstorm environment, but also conform to the current development trend of green environmental protection.

In order to meet customer needs, the technical team of CRRC Zhuzhou Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd. conducted in-depth analysis and research based on the actual operation of the vehicle on the line, and optimized and upgraded the products for the bottom door control system and wind control system. To ensure the smooth progress of the project, CRRC Zhuzhou Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd. visited the supplier's site many times to inspect the bottom door and wind control accessories, and continuously tested the products to ensure the progress of mass production and achieve a comprehensive improvement in product performance. During the production process, CRRC Zhuzhou Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd. overcame many adverse effects such as parallel production of multiple products and hot weather, and finally successfully completed the production and delivery of the project on July 20.

The successful delivery of the Saudi phosphate hopper car project is a new impetus injected by CRRC Zhuzhou Co., Ltd. in response to the call of the country's "Belt and Road" initiative to deepen the strategic cooperation with Saudi Railways, and fully demonstrates the strong competitiveness and influence of Chinese manufacturing in the international market.
