Rail Transit Exhibition News On January 21, Hefei Rail Transit released the province's first full-space robot intelligent scheduling platform, and simultaneously implemented 9 robot application solutions. Robot dog station patrols, humanoid robots answer questions face-to-face, drone train roof inspections...... These science fiction scenes, which once only appeared in movies, are now gradually entering the operation scenarios of Hefei rail, injecting new intelligent momentum into citizen travel and subway operation and maintenance.

Robot + drone collaboration, bidding farewell to the traditional "climbing and drilling"
In the Hefei rail transit inspection warehouse on Binhu Zhujiang Road, a drone is accurately hovering on the roof of the train to carry out inspections of the pantograph; At the same time, another inspection robot shuttles at the bottom of the train, scanning key parts of the vehicle in all directions with a high-precision camera. The two cooperate tacitly and synchronously operate to form a vivid picture of intelligent inspection.

"In the past, in the maintenance of trains, the staff not only had to drill under the car and lean over to explore the bogies, brake systems and other components, but also climbed onto the roof to check the pantograph and roof equipment, which was not only time-consuming, but also extremely labor-intensive." Dai Rong, head of the Science and Technology Innovation Department of Hefei Rail Science and Education Center, introduced.
Today, this dilemma has been solved by intelligent technology: the robot under the car can shuttle autonomously, and capture potential safety hazards such as component cracks and loose bolts in an all-round way through high-definition cameras and ultrasonic sensors; The roof drone is flexible and maneuverable, accurately identifying subtle anomalies in the roof equipment.
It is expected that the inspection efficiency will be increased by more than 50%, and the detection accuracy will be as high as 96%, building an indestructible "intelligent barrier" for the safe operation of the train.

At present, the collaborative inspection mode of "under-the-car robot + roof drone" has been put into use in the Nangang depot of Line 2 and the Beicheng depot of Line 8.
Dai Rong added that this model realizes "early detection and early disposal" of potential safety hazards through robot-assisted manual operation, and promotes a qualitative leap in Hefei's rail operation safety assurance capabilities.
Robot groups are on duty to provide "non-sensory and convenient" services
Inspection robot dogs, humanoid service robots, and cleaning robots are teamed up to perform their duties and work together - this scene will be staged at Yungu Road Station of Hefei Rail Transit Line 5 and the East District Station of China University of Science and Technology, and intelligent services will replace some manual tedious work and bring a new experience to citizens' travel.
"The smart station with the blessing of the robot group can provide integrated services for intelligent inquiry, path guidance, safety patrol, and environmental cleaning, reconstruct the station operation scenario, and make the whole journey convenient and worry-free and full of warmth for passengers." At the press conference, Luo Lei, senior director of the Science and Education Center of Hefei Rail Group, said.

The inspection robot dog focuses on site equipment inspection to protect public safety; Humanoid service robots accurately respond to the needs of citizens, providing inquiry answers, path guidance and other services; The cleaning robot independently carries out cleaning operations and continues to keep the station environment clean. "Robot-led automated inspection can not only greatly reduce time cost and manpower investment, but also significantly improve inspection efficiency and promote the deep transformation of rail transit operations to 'precision and normalization'." Luo Lei said.
In addition, the robot group can also accurately solve travel pain points such as station inquiry congestion and passenger path confusion, further improving citizens' travel satisfaction and happiness.
Intelligent robots are on duty around the clock to fill the gap in underground operation and maintenance
In addition to passenger-level maintenance and station service scenarios, Hefei Rail's intelligent inspection innovation also extends to special areas such as rail travel areas.
Luo Lei introduced that the pilot work of the inspection robot will be launched in the section from Line 4 Library Station to Swan Lake Station to solve the problem of tunnel inspection.

In traditional tunnel inspections, the staff needs to take a rail engineering vehicle and rely on naked eye observation to investigate hidden dangers such as tunnel structure, track status, and trackside cable damage during the limited "skylight period" at night.
"Today, the inspection robot relies on the air-ground linkage mode, integrates advanced technologies such as infrared thermal imaging and three-dimensional laser scanning, and can autonomously shuttle along the track, and the high-definition camera and infrared sensor equipped can accurately capture the temperature anomalies and crack changes of the tunnel structure." Luo Lei said that this intelligent inspection system has achieved full coverage and high-precision detection of facilities and equipment in the rail area, directly hit the pain points of "changeable and complex" tunnel operation and maintenance, realized intelligent diagnosis and real-time early warning of hidden dangers, successfully filled the gap in intelligent inspection technology of underground tracks, and made underground operation and maintenance safer and more efficient.
A platform to schedule global robots to work collaboratively
The release of the all-space robot intelligent scheduling platform marks that Hefei Rail has officially entered a new stage of wisdom of "digital empowerment + robot collaboration".
This new robot fusion platform can be called the "smart brain" of Hefei Rail - it grasps the digitalization of operation and maintenance inspection on the one hand and the intelligence of passenger services on the other, and can uniformly dispatch robots in multiple scenarios such as trains, tunnels, and stations to achieve intelligent linkage and efficient operation of each scenario. The platform integrates cutting-edge technologies such as drones, artificial intelligence, and big data to build a complete closed loop of "perception-analysis-decision-execution".

It can not only replace manual repetitive, high-intensity and high-risk labor, but also realize fault warning, resource optimization and service upgrade through real-time data collection and intelligent algorithm analysis, promote rail transit operation from "manual-based" to "intelligent autonomy", and make the subway smarter and safer with the help of the "robot army", and achieve three major breakthroughs in operational efficiency, safety level and service quality.
In the future, Hefei Rail will continue to promote the deep integration of robots with the four major systems of operation scheduling, operation and maintenance maintenance, passenger transport services, and emergency treatment, build a replicable and generalizable smart rail application system, and provide "Hefei solutions" and contribute "Hefei wisdom" for the high-quality development of the national rail transit industry.
